I agree with you about a modern version of the “C” case.

Are they mostly from the 1970's?

The fume HF and alarm GP's and blue dial dynamic are late 60's. The Zodiac is in their '76 catalogue. The UN is 1974 and Bullseye Omega and GP 1973. I seem to like straight hands and no numbered indices - in fact the only departure on numbers / straight h...
