there is no definitive reference in existance. this is the fully original and
untouched 1964 i bought to the London GTG. they came with stick hands first then
changed to spade hands at a later date.

Hi Filip, Pleased you had a good experience in the 120d. I think the chassis and drivetrain in the 1 Series, even the convertible, is very well sorted. I even prefer this to the 3 Series, which is my daily car. Very direct steering, and a lot of feedback....
