This Omega punched above its weight if it did GM ;-)
I think it was to do with wrist ergonomics and Omega design attempt to have a comfortable case shape. The straps / bracelet are one piece fixed by a screw down bezel on case back. Very easy to swap over. I have another one with manual cal & charcoal dial.
