WristScan

Very nice 1680 SR Sub . - Have to say, this one is a classic, and fits many styles. -And still is a very solid Toolwatch. :))

Was similiar with me:
Only had 1 humble steel, for many years:

Black dialled simple Date-model since 1976. Has been with me almost everywhere- from Ocean to desert, from mountains to oceans, in a flashy Cocktail event to theatre.

She is sort of a " Life-watch", always in time No failures. Yet enough Lowkey, yet nice to look at..

Beginning from around 2000, started to look more for Vintage, (after 2-3 Moderns sort of logical);
have traded some; but as your 1680 SR, I do like them & I do stand by them. !

But among the pieces from the 50ies/60ies, there are quite a lot, which tick at least several of my boxes.
And one thing for sure: Rollies in good condition have gone up quite a bit or at least hold their value
easily..

Although JLC & Alarms are my main "collection ground", some of the early Subs or GMTs really still give me lots pleasure.

But I try to choose smartly, under-the-radar, eg when travelling or when in areas of herds of pick-pockets (Napoli, Rome, Barcelona .. etc)

To stop my rambling , Continue to enjoy yours in the Best of your health !

It's a very nice one !

Cheers & Best,
ha smile
