Yes, its dial is really something. Mine is a rf 16622 from 2005. I read somewhere that this frosted dial was changed in later versions for a different surface which doesn´t show this "grain" as in the first...
... years. You should check this detail as I don´t really know. Rolex did a wonderful job with this timepiece but I hadn´t the opportunity of viewing in the metal the later references.

I like that the small second is off-centered which is unusual and on a square sub-dial (it matches the main square dial). I like that the dial is guilloché (guilloché-ed inenglish? ). I like the very useful 8-day power reserve with its special "porthole" ...

I must admit that the pure, simple, classic design was the reason I chose the not so popular white dial... Your black dial is just stellar, maybe somewhere down the road you might add the white as well;-))) Have a great weekend!
