think both of us have small wrist Robin. It wil wear nicely on u for sure and its looks very thin so the 40mm diameter don't look so imposing [nt]

you should
go to the dealer and try it on. some collectors has complained it wears too large so best to be hands-on.

I'd prefer 38-39 to 40 as well. But I tried it on this last Friday
and it was OK. The sales advisor said that people wanted this size, and that I'm "a big guy," so that the size is right. I'm a 7.25" wrist and not heavy. Most of my watches are below 40mm. So his comment didn't come out as a compliment, though I know he meant to be nice!!
In any case, the watch fit fine!
