See how neatly it fits in there just inside the hour track?
Would I like it even better without the date? Yes, I suppose I would. But the date window feels more out of place on the enamel dial because the dial is otherwise so pure and clean. The guilloche is already a mix of levels and textures, so the date window seems less inappropriate.
