A. Lange & Söhne

So, no wonder why this reference has been chosen for a series of commemorative pieces.

Lange is working from the " basic " Lange One to issue, each month till October a new " Anniversary " watch.

So, this Lange One 25th anniversary has a 38, 5 mm case, 10, 7 mm high, in white gold. 

The dial is made of solid silver, with blue printed indices, hour markers and date. 

The movement is the Cal 121-1, manual winding,72 hours power reserve, made in german silver, 368 parts, 8 screwed gold chatons, with a hand engraved balance cock. Credit picture: Lange & Sohne:

Till there, even if it is, as always, beautifully made, nothing really special. 

The special touches are:

- A hunter case back, engraved,

- Some parts of the hand engraved balance cock in blue, with a 25 in blue, too, to high light the 25th anniversary in question.

Nice, elegant, yes, without doubt, but for the 25th anniversary, I would have seen something else in addition to the hunter case back and the blue hand engraved balance cock,  to reinforce the commemoration of such a special event, something like an enamel dial, and why not, a 25 at 5 o clock instead of the 5, in Red, or Blue. 

Maybe we'll have something more " special " for the later Anniversary watches coming from February to October?
