The relatively wide bezel on the Dato makes the face look small and makes the watch "wear small" for a 39mm piece as compared to the Observatoire at 38mm.
You can never tell -- someday that Dato could be yours!

Gary
I really do consider my wearing impression posts as conversations more than as formal reviews. Basically I just start with the perspective of thinking about what others might want to know about this piece, and make a long list of likes and potential reservations!
Thanks for your note.

Appreciate your weighing in here. I wore the DS again today, and the heat and humidity of Seoul (and mandated reductions in air conditioning to save energy) finally led me to roll up the sleeves on my dress shirt (a once-a-decade occurrance, if that). Spent the rest of the afternoon stealing glances! Can't recommend this one too highly.
Somehow I don't really care about 3 Hz anymore...
All the best,
Gary G
...and would leave that little spot at 10 o'clock on the case for the pusher for the Big Date...

Gary G
It is bringing me a lot of pleasure to have both of them!
Best,
Gary

...and for the welcome back from Heaven. Good news seems to be that the greater gravity here on Earth doesn't seem to be bothering me with regard to the mass of the DS.
Best,
Gary
