Hello Thomas! Thanks a lot for your kind comments. I like these watches more for their aesthetics than for its practical use, they are collectors pieces to me. I like to wear them...
... in a not visible way not only for the safety reasons I explained but also because I prefer to keep a low profile style in my daily life. Anyway I enjoy wearing them from time to time and indeed they add a touch of warmth when I view them on my wrist.
The old yellow gold Day Date (1959) is 36 mm. I like this case size in my DD and DJ watches. It´s a very elegant size I feel.

Not that long ago, we were just talking about summer watches and now we are nearing winter again.
To qualify as "winter watch", I will put them thru some low temperature testing and hope they survive 😂⛄️
And you have shown your fav that will melt thru snow for sure !!

I trust a Rolex so much my friend S F so it doesn´t surprise me it holds so well in low temperatures too. Your vintage GMT looks in wonderful condition. Keep enjoying it so much!!

But that first shot of the Freak in the snow is absolutely epic. As are the rest but the combination of the model and the picture really does it for me 🙌🏻👌🏻❄️👏🏻

under unusually cold temp and it is in my rotation for cold weather trips😉.
I didn't know that the UN was also designed for winter temperatures?
In any case, it is a spectacular watch and definitely on my wish list.

Ahh hora12!! Fire melts the snow! And this fantastic stunning watch would do the same I guess. A gorgeous dial matching your sweater makes for a striking shot.
