Persimmon is not only a beautiful hardwood . . .

 By: Dr No : August 23rd, 2012-13:58
. . . but also useful.  Gold club wood heads were commonly made of persimmon, way back when.

Didn't know that. Thanks!

. . . cut from the oldest persimmon tree on Uncle Jake's farm later this weekend, which will then have to be cured for at least a year before he can make use of them.

If the wood turns out to be good enough to use, start planning a trip to So Cal for either late 2013 or 2014.  There will be an order for two purpleheart sticks with persimmon wraps.

Your Sonata later in the session, perhaps?

Well, let's say that I will post the Sonata next week.

 By: amanico : August 23rd, 2012-14:29

I take the road in 5 hours, and have to drive 1400 Kilometers tomorrow...

I doubt I will have the time to post a pic of the Sonata tomorrow...

wink

All the best, Don Arturo.

Nicovlad, almost in his coffin.

You travel a long way for those roof tiles, Nico ...

 By: AndrewD : August 24th, 2012-19:39

... but I can tell you they are worth it!

I guess you could bring a tile back home to use as a prop, but it's hard to import the beautiful summer light.

Safe travels.

Andrew

Nothing can beat the local products, my friend. :))) Thank you, Andrew.

. . . for the Christof Colomb.  Thanks for sharing this image, flamenco.

Noteworthy that both the Zenith and your Grand Seiko beat at a resonant frequency of 5 Hz.  Are you partial to high-beats, like Ginger?

Enlightened,
