This looks like a lightened, racing version of the DB4
We are talking about a wristwatch that is at home on the race track, from the beginning of the 60s.
I would go with a vintage pre-Daytona, black dial

Pre-Daytona: not sure but certainly around 63-65

Perfect for the day ...
Chronograph function would be useful for lap timing to make sure that your team are competitive. Lack of “Daytona” writing more discreet.

Lovely specimen you have there
Very rare beast. I could see it on some dark brown leather even if it is a diver
It’s certainly a good option....
But for this car and the occasion (racing) a chronograph could have the edge.
