My Dad has the first automatic UK 430
in 1989. It arrived with one set of exhausts bouncing on the ground, rear seats too narrow for the cabin, and the transmission not correctly set up. The turbo lag sent it sideways in the wet and it spent more time in the garage than on the road. It was taken back after 10 months! Happy days 😂😂

But I find the 4th generation Quattroporte with the similar design language to be the most elegant of the generation. And with the final Evo edition (re-engineered by Ferrari) it is also mechanically much more robust and reliable 😊
If I was to choose, I would go for the Ghibli visually - a tad less brutalist 😊
Well, I never had a 4 doors car, and even if I get a Defender someday, it will be a two doors. :)))) 5-3 for the Shamal, now.

Shamal for mi, I had a fantastic Blue Ghibli II, a difficult relationship with a difficult mistress… so now… maybe a Shamal to spice the night’s and empty the pockets

Of the two the Shamal is my favorite. Put it against a Lancia Hyena and the choice gets harder for me. For me those two, very different cars were stars of the early 1990’s Italian design.
