This Calatrava in my opinion epitomizes the heart and soul of Patek; simple and understated elegance. Thanks for sharing this wonderful watch with its Breguet numeral. I personally think the font used on this is the best iteration. Wished they would make em in 40-41mm size for my wrist

But have you tried the Breguet 5177 which has Breguet numerals, Breguet hands and an enamel dial. It might only measure 38mm but the straight lugs will suit your wrist well!

.....the London edition that you have looks really elegant.

As unlike many enthusiasts who have a wide variety of watches, my tiny collection has the same theme - elegance and simplicity. Somehow I have convinced myself that these type of watches tend to suit my wrist better. I have tried to be adventurous but a Nautilus or Aquanaut for example just is not me

I think with PP, the heart and soul of their brand is timeless elegance housed through simplicity. I know that they also do some stunning comlications, but at the heart there is simplicty. Have you ever tried some of the 1950 and 1960 Calatravas?  Mostly 35-36mm.....

They have a nice vintage feel but somehow I am partial to simple Pateks with Breguet hands and numerals like the 3960,5022, 3820 even if they might seem small nowadays. Somehow they seem to exude a certain elegance than is difficult to describe.

I would like to think that we buy watches that suit our lifestyles and our wrist rather than investing our hard earned money on big is beautiful!

Beauty though is in the eyes of the beholder so my take on Breguet hands and numerals might be less appealing to others.

The LE 7200R looks great and the size is just right for your wrist size.

Rarely does a watch look as right on my wrist and even the length and shape of the lugs compliment the watch and my wrist well. A keeper I think (which is saying a lot for me)
