I think the brown strap makes the watch look a little less formal and mine should hopefully last for ages as it is brand new and I am aiming to wear the watch no more than 20 times a year to keep it in mint condition. I have not even removed the Patek blu... 

the flat surface is sooo easy to polish. Remove the plastic and enjoy!

I am enjoying it very much even with the plastic on! I think for me, I may enjoy it less with the plastic off! Thanks anyway and I prefer not to polish the watch if possible.
