It was very interesting to read your article and learn a bit more about Mr. Stern and some of his thoughts.  I think Patek, and the Sterns, are intriguing.  I get the impression that Patek and their practices are very polarizing -- their fanboys are rabidly enthusiastic about everything they do; their detractors equally passionate.  Perhaps, this is just my personal impression.

I love that they launched a steel-cased complication this year.  The 5950A is just my cup of tea.  It's a real beauty, and was an unexpected move on Patek's part IMO.  Thanks for an excellent writeup, SJX!  I enjoyed it throughly.
