of too much PP and it is becoming very prevalent in most of the professional portraiture that I see.
However, they have to satisfy their client and this is what they want.
I can understand your preference for No.2 but ''over cooked' might be too strong a word for No. 1.

Definately the first. Maybe try a square crop from the left. It's her beautiful eyes that make the picture. The background is too much and not a strong story. [nt]

First one for me! Probably the second
one has color more accurate, but the first one has more character and the figure is better separate from the background, and you want that in this kind of portrait.
Did you get permission...
