You are right about the photos (from both official UN press release and my poor iPhone camera) not doing justice to the actual dials. The minute details within in the Snake are just mind-boggling. IMO, the champlevé enamel for the zodiac series provide more vibrancy in color and a better 3D effect than the cloisonne vessel series.
