Ressence Type 1 Squared
It is a bit of a tradition to buy myself a watch for my birthday (ok I did buy watches in other occasions too but...there was always a birthday watch). So initially I thought I wouldn't get anything this year as there is nothing really unique or different that caught my interest. Then....I remembered my love for ressence and I have decided to get a completely different watch: the Ressence Type 1 Squared :
This new model was launched in 2017 and is slimmer than the Type 1 round. It also features a clever lever on the back to set the time and day of the week (not my photo for the back but it is easier to understand this way).
The case is also in stainless steel vs titanium of the round version.
The blue dial is really elegant and the combination with the alligator blue strap makes indeed very dressy ! The colour of course varies on the light yet is a very legible watch.

I think is really elegant and I like the whole concept of an always moving and evolving dial.
Even the box for these new models is different: a 3D printed box that is very light and looks more like a sculpture than the traditional wooden boxes
The manual is the key-shaped USB key
I think that this is a great offering and clever way to reach these with too many watches (if there is such a thing :P ) looking for something truly different.
