Horological Meandering

Of course not as daily wearer but still not old fashioned I believe.

If the condition is as good as that I simply cannot resist in front of such a beautiful art deco  steel watch.

Did you notice the pouch covering the top of the watch ? Do you know what it is ? Let me tell you : few years ago I decided that all these nice watches were nice in the box but they deserve to see the live with me also so I decided to have bespoke étuis made for the very exact size of each Watch so that it fits perfectly : should not be too tight otherwise it is very un practical to use, neither too loose otherwise the Watch slips out of the etui in the pocket. With these I can have the chain attached to the belt groove and the Watch is protected in the Pocket without being scratched by the chain .

When fitted over the Watch it looks like this

And this is why I can use these watches without being worried of scratching the case...

So each watch has its special etui in a different color all bespoke, a very egoistic pleasure maybe

I love this 2 tone Omega dial...

Can you imagine if I would scratch this case in pristine condition, that would be criminal !

But this Patek Philippe ref 600 is not bad either (quite rare in this white and rose gold version)

This one is quite special... ding ding ding, can you hear ?

Let me finish with my favourite : the one that my grandfather received from his grandfather for his first communion in 1865...
