This should be good news for buyers!
Perhaps maybe we finally see some kind of price correction without cost cutting on pieces from the top Swiss manufacturers.
This also has to be a direct result of many of the top Swiss makers often squeezing their customers when it comes to buying spares, not supplying watchmakers outside their own network, and making service in general a far more tedious experience than it ever should be. Till recently, I looked up to Omega as one of the few solid Swiss manufacturers who still supplied spares and affordable service to old customers, but even that is now sadly changing.
I used to be a die hard Patek lover, and would have certainly bought more, till I needed a few mundane spares for some vintage family pieces some yrs ago. The run around I was put through across continents, and the massive inconvenience it all needlessly became for just odds and ends like screws scared me so silly I shudder when I have to wear those watches anymore, and remain scared to buy more Pateks.
