It was Swatch , Swatch ... and Swatch
At 16 my dream was a speedster but no way I could afford it, I bought a Tissot Rockwatch at that time.
Around 22 - 24 I saved ( washing dishes in a restaurant during the weekend) and bout a Rolex Sub. That was in 1995-1996.
Bought it at the AD and paid 2100 euro .... which was list -10%.
That was about 28 years ago

Got it as a present from my grandparents many,many years ago. Borrowed it to my wife....who has mislaid it. Grrrr.
A cool watch - and back then (mid to late 80s) a mechanical watch was not a common sight.
It certanly was one of the catalysts for my later disease.....😏
