Horological Meandering

Swatch knew exactly what it was doing, putting young aspiring kids in with this mob of scalpers, I read about high school kids getting punched in the stomach by the police, pepper sprayed and beaten, and for what? For swatch to be in the front page, talked about by everyone. That’s a plastic watch. They could produce 2000 watches for each store instead of 200, it’s a plastic watch! They could publicize that there would be enough for everyone on 16th of May, but no, they want people lined up in front of their stores, they want the publicity, to make people talk about their brand, their watch. Frankly, they revolt me now. They say that they want to connect with new young customers, get their interest to the world of watchmaking, yet they throw them in front of a mob whose sole purpose is making a quick buck by flipping their new product. Such a vile thing to do.
