The simplicity of it and the whiteness of the porcelin dial.
Ideal of the formal occasion over the weekend.

Still wearing the SP-1, but changing to speedmaster with new dark brown croc strap tomorrow.

i think this is possibly the best leather strap i've ever put on it and the one that suits it the most.
have a mellow weekend

Out to a French Restaurant (Libertine, Melbourne) for lunch with friends, so the Breguet is as close as I get to a French influenced timepiece.
In fact the La Tradition has become less of a work watch and more of a weekend watch for some reason. Both 'dressed up' for somewhere special and 'dressed down' in a casual mood. More versatile than I expected.

and it will be the manual wind like yours in YG. its just a shame they dont use the blued balance 'parachute' on the YG. it would look just as good as it does on the WG IMO.
enjoy the meal
Graham
Hi Graham,
I completely agree with you. The parachute was meant to be the centerpiece for the La Tradition, showing off A.L. Breguet’s invention, and it would have been nice to see it presented in a more ornate fashion as well as blued to catch the light as the screws and hands do.
I can live with it because the original parachutes were in polished steel and the YG is so striking, but a blued parachute would be stunning.
Hope you get your Tradition one day.
Andrew

... is even more versatile than the YG.
I hope you can add one to your collection one day. The Tradition remains a very unique watch, despite recent offerings from GO and AP.
Kind regards
Andrew
Hi Jeff,
There are so many meanings to the term “Libertine”, and many are appropriate for the La Tradition!
Libertine is a nice homely, old-fashioned French Restaurant serving the classic dishes. An appropriate home for the Breguet.

Great pic of an icon!
Enjoy the wknd Patrice.

Very nice, Ginger, perfect size for you.
50th birthday this year for your Seamaster.
Pleased you were able to adjust the strap. My vintage Omega’s are all on leather straps, so I think a bracelet would be rather nice and add some heft to the smaller sized watch.
Thanks for sharing it.
