This really is a great series of watches!  Military watches (and those modern versions inpired by them) have a certain tough-guy appeal that is just sexy and awesome.  I love your watch, and enjoyed learning more about it from your wonderful post!

I was reading your post about the military benrus watch. I picked up a benrus watch that is very unique. It is 10 kt rolled gold plate bezel, stainless steel back. It however looks dramatically different then the military issues you have pictured. This particular one has a red, white and blue airforce type emblem. The numbers begin 12-2-4-8 and 10 on the face. Where the six should be is another circle with a smaller dial that goes around with the changing of the day, I am guessing a 24 hour marker. It also has underneath the airforce emblem the day of the week block. the face of the dial in addition to the basic numbering mentioned earlier also has 1-30 numbers and even smaller second markers in between those. I am unable to find information about this watch. Perhaps it is not common. I am afraid to open it and don't know how to open it without breaking it. However the front of it does have the benrus name and the back only has the 10 kt rolled gold plate bezen, stainless steel back stamped in it. It looks to be quite old. Have you seen this watch before anywhere else? Please let me know. Kimberly

My camera is just not that great so I apologize, Underneath the 12 marker is red, white and blue wing, directly underneath this is a square box for the day of week, BENRUS name,  then hand dial, and another round dial with straight lines, appears to be a 24 hour marker of some kind. In between each number on the face is another smaller number, that goes from 1-31 perhaps a calender marker. I will try to get a better picture.

I forgot to mention, in case you can't see from the pictures at the 3-6-9-markers there is merely just a raised gold dot. Mabey it is the generals watch or higher ranking officer watch. I really don't know.
