Hello Nicolas!! I was eagerly expecting your report about the new Polaris models from JLC! Congrats on your superb thorough introduction to this new line...

I feel happy to know that JLC has decided to introduce this new line of watches, meaning we will have a new temptation from this brand we like so much.
I personaly feel I need to re read your information and re view the pictures to digest all this info,
But after the first reading I felt that there are two models which attracted me in that first impression: these are the Polaris date and the Anniversary limited version. These are the closest to the original watch and to the Tribute I already own.
Owning any of these two modern versions would allow me to take a Polaris to a more active use, as I had never taken my Tribute to pool, beach or sea for swimming, snorkeling or scuba diving. They also could give me a good excuse to buy another sport watch from JLC!!

If you do so, you will also have to hunt a vintage... But you can also use your Tribute by the sea or the swimming pool without any problem. Aprovecha, amigo mio. [nt]

Ahh! To hunt a vintage one should be marvelous... but not easy task! I never dared to risk my Tribute. May be if I have my watchmaker friend to check its waterproofness ...
... it would give me some peace of mind. In any case, the new model is already haunting me!

To me these ‘new’ watches feel like old watches. If you get my drift... I’m not excited.
But who knows, maybe in the metal things could change.

A nice change to me is the
newly designed bracelet. The existing one is too old fashioned (I mentioned this many times to JLC boutique personnel) and the new one is much more contemporary.
Among these 5 models, the world timer and the memovox look attractive to me, partly because I lack a world timer and alarm watch in my collection. I have to see all 5 in person before I can tell.

I went to the bank to pick up My Polaris
I needed something to compare, and my feelings are the same as earlier. I like the Polaris, the dial aesthetic is cool and the new indexes and hands talk to me.

I'm sorry, JLC, but I don't see anything here that makes me scream, "I've gotta get me one of those!"
I think JLC has played the "safe" card with these releases. Whereas the Compressors were bold, very sporty and gorgeous - and did include Polaris DNA in the dials - I find this new line up very, "Ho-hum."
I hope JLC has something up its sleeve for either later in the year or next SIHH.

It is just the beginning of the adventure. I don't see Jaeger Lecoultre stopping the Polaris Family with these 5...

Initially, the "simple" Polaris (no date, no alarm) made me wonder ... a Polaris without alarm ???
Then, with the addition of the chrono, chrono world time and date, it is clear that JLC is releasing a new line of sport watches "inspired" by the Polaris rather than a tribute line.
The alarm one is quite nice ... as well as the worldtime (but being in the market for a worldtime, I am biased).
That's exactly the point. I will say it again, but the World Time is my favorite among these 5. [nt]

I love the collection. Felt that JLC was missing something from their sport watches and these offerings deliver in spades. Particularly like the no date automatic and the World timer with blue dial.

First thanks for the post. The master compressor line blew me away when it came out, unfortunately the model I loved the most wore a little to thick for me. I was hoping for a little more aggressive of a sport line.
