Reverso. From a popular pov vs an enthusiast pov..
Having said that, I wonder if their sales reflect it.
It's what drew me first to JLC.. a simple one in GT case in the early 2000s. It just has the makings of an iconic watch..
The story behind it, the folks who've worn it, the art deco era, the design itself arguably rivalled only by the Cartier tank. From a sports standpoint, i wish they REALLY concentrated on one line to rival the Rolexes and Omegas of the horo world.. I'd probably put a lot of funding on the Polaris line (versus the MC.. the design language on the Polaris is probably more stable with the likes of the TTP68 or DSA. The MC can be redeveloped as the extreme variant a la DeepSea for example). It's dangerous to be having one strong leg when that leg is dress vs the more popular and lucrative sports.

As a relative new member to this wonderful forum I must say that my first Experience with this name brand
Was the master compressor line. However, that was because of my interest in tool watches. I actually knew about the reverso line Long before that but never really appreciated its history or the brand.

Yes! I would say Master Compressor ...
But now after 10 years, it’s the Reverso line. Burgundy gets my vote.

I’m not an expert on JLC but I would guess it’s the Reverso. Such an icon watch with great story behind and one million different iterations.

The Duometre in platinum comes with a platinum / silver-ish dial or off white dial in boutique edition...

First ..... this is a crazy question. And a great question. I can’t answer. For a purist, I say vintage geophysic. Easy. Otherwise, reverso. Or duometre. It’s a tough question.
And fascinating because it’s not one reverso or one duometre in my mind, but the category that counts.
But geophysic is one of most special watches out there, it is my grail, and so that’s easily on top.

In the modern universe, I meant. If I had to answer about vintage JLCs, I would have the Geophysic, but not only. I will come back to that. As for moderns, I think the Duometre will become one, yes! [nt]

For modern, I’d say duometre, tied possibly with reverso. For me reverso is so true to its vintage roots, that it’s hard to call it modern, even if it is.
But duometre is such a unique, special watch, and seems to be so admired by enthusiasts, that’s an easy on too. Why I say possibly reverso too is that there are so many stunning modern versions of this one. Some simple, like the rouge or the bleu, others with beautiful complications that are quite a delight.

A tricky question...
When it comes to a sporty watch it has to be the Deep Sea Alarm imo. It is an undeniable icon of JLC, combining the alarm function with a heavy and waterproof case. But if you are looking for a watch that is the incarnation of understatement which is typical for Jaeger watches I would choose the Geophysic.
