Hello dear O. I feel you are doing the right thing focusing your efforts in the hunt of the superb pieces you mention. I wish you will be able to accomplish your goals along this year.
Omega offers very interesting products in their catalog. Prices are reasonable for the high quality and something which I appreciate so much is they usually are available to be purchased at official prices once they are launched. Exception could be some very special editions or models. (I mention this because regrettably this doesn´t happen with one of my dearest brands, you know which I´m sure).
Panemic has brought many complications to our Countries and around the World so I perfectly understand what you tell me about your postponing of travel and diving plans. I hope in the next few months situation will get better as the vaccine is available to us. As you well say, we have to wait.

Yes, Omega produce good watches at fairly competitive prices and most of their models are generally available (except the Ed White). Maybe a seamaster 300, a rail master and a speed will interest me one day...
Considering the shortage of some models, I cannot complain because I was lucky not to wait too long for my acquisitions of Rolex. Moreover, I'm not very interested in the AP and PP Instagram watches. I like the OR and the Nautilus but from my point of view these models are too expensive for what they are ... I know those words could get me fired but I stand by my opinion.

Hello dear O. Agree with your comments about Omega, and I feel the trilogy you mention is a very interesting approach to a basic collection of this brand.
About the comments about other brands I feel the collecting world has witnessed a very crazy raise in prices and shortage of stocks taking some brands/models to unreachable levels for the common watch lover.
One of my beloved brands Rolex is a good example, as well as the other brands you mention.

This one is a Hirsch rubber strap that is quite fine. It was sold with the watch...
It reinforces the diver character of the watch and is very comfortable

Watches are sometimes beautiful but they become even more interesting when they relate to a story, big or small it doesn't matter.

I like the design of this watch.
Many elements link me to this model: diving, the chrono with a bicompax look, Jaeger LeCoultre ...
Moreover the chance of life inadvertently made me cross this watch in an unusual place just before its launch.

I hope JLC brings us some cool stuff this year...
In the meantime, I take full advantage of this chrono with a retro look which also confirms the beauty and the great balance of the bicompax.
And finally, within ten/fifteen days, a little sister will join it ;-)
For that I have to go shopping to try what is likely to please me and right now it's complicated ... Not this week because I'm on vacation with my daughters but probably the week after. However it is not a so bad strap 😬.
