This was the only "sport" model that JLC did as part of the 250pc platinum series.
I still stand by what I wrote in earlier posts: just as Patek has Aquanaut and Nautilus, JLC could do well with Polaris and Compressor. One has exceptionally gorgeous dials (Polaris) while the other has true "beater" qualities (Compressor).
JLC wrote about the Compressor water proofing system years ago saying, "This is the best long-term solution that we have found for maintaining water resistance." It was simple, cool, and visually it was iconic since no other company bothered to pursue the same method. It gave the brand a signature look that was identifiable. Beyond that, the strap-change system on the last Compressor Chronograph - borrowed from the Extreme series, was so great because it wasn't proprietary. as long as clients kept using the solid bars with each strap, you could put on any strap you so desired.
