I appreciate the owner's insight into this rarely seen timepiece. I have to admit the platinum MMR did not impress me much considering the hype surrounding it when it was launched but the titanium is a whole different story. Ironically the titanium MMR did not get as much promotion as the platinum MMR when it was launched.

incredible piece, pics, review..!! What more can one say..!! I was lucky enough to hold a platinum one recently but couldn't hear it...one day I'd love to hear one in the flesh.
Thanks Nicolas,
Andy.
except that I'm still in love w/ my RG 5240:
Actually I brought her along to the Launch of the original Paltinum Master Repetition Minutes a few years back. Have to admit during the dinner I compared the 5240 and the JLC and I wasn't impressed. It was better but not far superior as they have claimed. I felt that the 'gearing/chain' residual noise after the gong's action was too loud and didn't think it was all that loud for the prototype that we had. I was told to wait for the real production pieces and boy that was a difference of night & day.
I immediately fell in love w/ the production pieces of the Platinum piece. Moreover, by the time my dealer had one available for me, I've caught winds of JLC possibly launching the Titanium version with possibly better sounding.
I can't help but feeling extremely curious since I was very impressed by a titanium cased AP grand complication before and decided to wait.
The day that my dealer called me I was so excited that I decided to rush home to fetch my 5240 as a reference. I wanted to see & hear the JLC completely over powering my 5240. Unfortunately by the time I made it to the store, there was a few rather loud customers and they stayed there for what seems liked ages. I ran out of patience and decided to come back.
I went back a few days later, this time w/ my buddy's PT version as well as my 5240. Needless to say I walked out w/ a huge grin!
You have two amazing repeaters there!
Perhaps one day I too can share in the joy of wearing a minute repeater...
when I grow up, I'll get a MR too
Was really nice to see her in person last week!

Cheers,

I actually had the opportunity to see this piece in person when I was in Las Vegas couple weeks ago and I was drooling
Congrats on your 1st review here, and keep up the great work!
Much appreciated!
Cheers,
Anthony
I'd love to see some closeups on the movement finish of a production model.
Good choice by the way!

that did not discourage me from getting an AMVOX1ti at a time when
I was lead to conclude from JLCs press statements that there would
be nothing that will come closer to the Polaris than the AMVOX1.
You will know my concerns against the AMVOX1 from the time we
all helped Jerome to make his decision on that watch - that does not
mean that I do not like the watch: it just could have been better technically
and by design!
Regarding the AMVOX2: technically very interesting but to big for my
wrist and the design sacrifices the 270degree idea of the AMVOX
line (the DBS comes closer but why an open dial in the center where
there is nothing of interst to see).
Let's see what the AMVOX3 has to offer.

According to my sources PROPER (for those who did not know:
the Office of Probe, Prosecution and Enforcement of the Rules of
proper watch design) charges her of breaching the rules of proper
watch design by making use of inconsistent and random design as
well as of dispensable design elements! As there is overwhelming
evidence against her that case must be nearly impossible to win!
I assume your strategy will be to plead guilty in order to get her sentence
suspended at least!
Let’s hope she will not break the probation (SIHH2008, AMVOX3
and the Polaris will be during the period of probation for sure)!
Cheers
