Lovely GMT Reverso. It is the model I would take after the Grand Date.
Regarding the OEM JLC strap, I also found that it wore a little more quickly than other straps, although I put this down to the fact that I preffered it on a tang buckle and not the deployant. However, I did like very much the way that the brown strap aged: the leather became darker with a rather rich antique finish. I will be changing it onto a Sirtoli strap shortly, the one in the middle in this picture. I have had good experiences with ABP straps as well.

The Grande GMT is my favourite Reverso.
I have similar sized wrists but find it a tad too thick for my liking on the 3 times I have tried it on - Yes, I tried 3 times just to be sure.
Perhaps it was due to the bracelet, as I only tried on the ones on bracelet, since the piece looks great on you.

I did a few more wristshots of the watch on different straps.
The black alligator from ABP I was mentioning in the original post:
The dark chocolate alligator from l'Atelier Jean Rousseau that I had made a few years ago for my vintage Rolex Submariner. It's a 20mm / 16mm instead of 20mm / 18mm on the ABP, so the JLC buckle doesn't fit. Not too sure about the tapered look on a large rectangular warch like the Grande GMT.
For the heck of it, I tried a black buffalo I sometimes wear on my IWC Fliegerchronograph 3705. Not too bad, but might be a bit too thin for the Reverso.
Can't blame me for lack of trying...
Cheers,
Boris
PS: I realize I am wearing the same shirt as I did a month ago when I took the picture in the 1st post. I swear that a) I have more than 1 shirt and b) it has been pressed since then...
