Strangely, I have much more pics of the rarer rose gold than of the yellow gold.

Circa 54 000 CHF.

But in top condition. And 100 % correct.

 

You have to know that I was not that convinced by the first pictures I saw at my AD; but seeing it in the flesh several months later really did the job. Funny thing is that I keep wondering why this watch is so special. Can't point to any specific detail; it's just special in all its understated design; everything is just right to me, and that makes it a special watch. All of that besides the heritage of the original and of the JLC brand of course. To me it is all that JLC is about; and that is a lot!

... The vintage JLC Geo got all the charm only a true vintage watch can offer ... but as difficult and most possible out of my budget the original is, I opted for the Tribute as soon as I knew about its launching during the first months of last year 2014.

I called my contact at the Milano Boutique, and put my firm order and deposit for an steel example around March, and I was informed that my watch had arrived to the Boutique and was waiting for me in September. I had to wait till November though in order to arrange the long trip to take delivery of my watch!

I found that the new Tribute was everything I was expecting and more: a cool, low key, elegant and sporty timepiece. I was afraid of the size which I thought would be too large for the model, but I felt very happy with its size once I tried on my wrist.

I had also thought that I would preferred the classic plainer dial (offered in the platinum version) in my watch, but as the days passed with my new watch on my wrist, I learned to love this cross hairs dial.

My new Tribute to Geo accompanied me through my fifteen days trip through Italy and France, and I fell completely in love with it. It has been on my wrist in rotation during the last months with much recurrence.

I really love this watch! I wish to share here some pictures taken during these months since I got it in Milano...

A delicious Parissian cremme brulette adds color to a plain black and white watch where the faux patina of the hands lume is very welcomed...

Not to mention the color of italian proschiutto and buffala cheese at the Milano Renascente roof, celebrating the arrival of my watch a few mintues earlier...

Watch looks good under some leaves shade...

As well as visiting an illustrious predecesor belonging to a Vladesque friend...  The angle of the camera makes the Tribute look much more large than in the real.

I learned to love its cross hair dial...

Specially when I discover how deliciously sunlight plays with its numerals...

The Crosshairs dial, you have to get used to it to understand, accept, then fully enjoy it.

I thikn the first reaction is to go for the " normal " one. But after a while, the Crosshairs is more than a second choice. Much more.

Thank you very much for sharing fantastic photos and info of Geophysic(s) with us.
I like the originals very much but so far have had no opportunities to meet them yet.
Maybe, one day my time will come.

Well, on the other hand, I enjoy the wonderful partner here on my wrist.
My TT works quite well with me and I love the feeling so much.
The sound of the Rotor makes me smile as well.
Although at first it was a surprise to know that TT would carry an automatic movement, I am happy with the outcome.

I would say that the next move would be looking at some strap options.

I find this is one of the coolest combination for this Watch.

I would like to see if it will not be too thick, in Canvas, or if a conventional canvas strap woud not better do the job. Really curious.
