Hmmm, dunno. I guess I'd have to see it. Maybe just a "traditional", white-ish colored lume would be better? As said, I just don't like stuff that's colored to make it look old, when in actuality it isn't. [nt]

That being said I applaud Omega for their decision to use smaller case sizes for these reissues. Really, I like everything about these watches except for that fakey-patina stuff.
And, again, on this it seems I'm in the minority. So be it.
See I don't see it that way
I don't think it looks 'old'. The tritium lime watches look old, but they also look cool. So therefore, if we can make new Lume look a similar colour and it looks cool. Then let's make the watch with those tones. To me, it makes sense. They could've done pink Lume, but they didn't. This looks better. My two cents

An option -- pre-patinated or not -- might be a nice idea. Doesn't Ochs Und Junior offer this? Granted they're a "custom" shop. [nt]

But, as with many things in life, I feel that there are exceptions.

I'm guessing the lume was white-ish, yes... but no matter the tone it was in all likelyhood the best lume that was available at the time.
I don't mind a modern movement, but for whatever reason a dial with faux patina is somehow disingenuous.

Yes, but these Omega are limited release and small enough number to sell out.
The masses would likely not buy these watches as they are too small and look old!
