PS: Actually this watch travelled so many miles! Making honor to its name "Flightmaster"!! It was discovered by Art in a Germany shop, it travelled from Germany to USA at California Art´s home, it was serviced there under Art´s supervision, shipped to Miami, and finally my daughter brought to it to me at Buenos Aires! That was a long trip indeed!
The FM is a very cool watch for sure. And this watch in particular…
… is a most important piece in my collection due to its great story behind. A true Friendship watch!

That was the most intricate watch acquisition I've ever experienced . . .
. . . with wildly unexpected challenges. I had to apply for a Federal tax ID to get the Flightmaster out of FedEx import control, find an original chrono seconds hand, and match the paint for the GMT crown when my watchmaker inadvertently left it in place while the case was in an ultrasound cleaner.
And I would do it all again, my dear friend!

Abel went all-out to find The Argentine Bombshell . . .
. . . for me. I found it on eBay but wary of dealing with a seller I didn't know. Abel searched up and down Argentina to find the seller, then negotiated directly with him to get the unbelievably rare ref CO 2494 into my hands.
As they say, "One good turn deserves another."
