Very helpful.

 

Omega is a brand that I am not very familiar with, but very curious about…

 

It was my fathers old Semaster that got me in to this “ madness ” in the first place.

... a great looking watch for people who not necessarily are into oversized watches 44mm+

I have no Ranchero but I really like the around 35-38mm wathcsizes more than the 42mm+

So it would be a good start to join the Omega gang (which I probably also belonmg to somehow ;-)) with a not so common but great watch

As I learned that the Ranchero is quit small I think a Seamaster is more for my wrist.

I prefer 38-42mm…

Go for a Seamaster 165.024.

I had one true vintage that I let go.

I keep this one, made with parts from AU, and I'm very happy with it, provided that you take good care of the plastic bezel insert.



Or, if you want a future classic, go for a PO. Same style, good movement (I don't really care very much about the Co-Axial escapement marketing stuff), nice watch.
