I could live with the size if I had to wear it.  I'm used to wearing a 45mm and 47mm Radiomir so 42mm did feel much smaller.  I also want to add the PAM338 is fairly thin compared to the 45mm Rads.

My personal favorites of this years Panarai novelties are the 346 8 days TI and the 343 Rattrapante Fourdoyante. Not to forget of course the black beauty 335...

what did you think about the 349?  that piece is on my list if the 339 don't come my way..

looks funny to me whenever I see it.  Panerai just combined the PAM249 and PAM309 into a single watch.  Looks weird since I'm not used to seeing both watches in a single form.

The railroad tracks at the perimeter of the PAM349 just don't match well with the gold colored teeth at the perimeter.  That's also another reason why I don't like the PAM349.

Between the PAM339 and PAM349, I would rather get the PAM339.

but I agree with you on the 349...very interesting piece that I hope to see the metal one day...

I am hopeful for the 339...will seek out the 190...and fall back on the 349...

Uses a P.2002 movement w/ the power reserve on the back instead of the usual "fang".  Brown dial and gold hands too.

It's a total different PAM than the PAM339 so it's not really an apples to apples comparison IMO.
