I was also considering this exact timepiece - kept going back to it. Such a cool watch, interesting design, especially when you start diving into the technical details.
My comment about covering up the text was to share why I decided not to go for it when I had the opportunity to buy one (a white dial version was available a long while back at the boutique)...
Anyway, for me, I found value in the technologies deployed in this watch. So much so, that it countered my “on the fence” feelings regarding its visual appeal/design language (bezel and cyclops especially, plus the thing is huge).
So I asked myself “if any other manufacturer would have put this exact watch out, at this price point, with this exact design, would I trigger on the purchase?” Nope.
For me - this level of Rolex high-technology is what kept me almost going for it. But when I covered up the crown, and took many honest looks at the design - the value was simply not there, as a watch to keep for the longer term (which I prefer to do with my watches).
Maybe if it didn’t have the bezel, the cyclops, and the size and thickness I would have jumped. The thing is wider and thicker than a milgauss! Also - although the technology is very cool - The bezel control thing attached to the movement ultimately didn’t speak to me

But never once did I think that any logo would trigger a purchase by you my friend
Watches are fun!
