everything is sufficiently different to my GMT to justify another daily beauty.  It will go well with my classic collection too, but with a twist of being the new version...I like

My dealer is over there so he knows already, and if they ever do a red sub with date that again would be different enough to get too..!!

releases followed by the blue dial yachtmaster. All I will say about the rest is "not for me thanks". Vintage stuff is starting to look more appealing at this rate.

Yes, the more I think about it and the more I look at it, the more I think that this will be the modern watch for me in 2012. Case size good. Cool innovation on the lume. Uni-directional scratch resistant bezel. Yep like that. New bracelet too. It's simple, it's straightforward and yes, like the 911 it looks very similar to the Sub DNA but in an evolved form.  Yes, this is more like what I want to see Rolex do. Make a better and better 911 every year. I don't care that it doesn't have diamonds and that it looks so similar to other Subs. I like that. This is the purest Rolex from 2012 for me. If it sits well on the wrist, I can easily see this Sub joining the team.  I have been really critical of that travesty that disgraces the Dayto name. And yes, I think the dweller looks truly odd. I am not a yachty fan either, but feel that the blue dial at least looks good on that watch. So, overall quite critical. But with the Sub, I think it is a winner on many fronts. I wonder when the first models arrive.

Baron I do agree with you.  Its back to the purity of the early Subs with a changed crown guards and no date feature. I think Rolex is listening and aware that 

From the 14060 in 1989, the 14060M in 1999, first non-certified and certified, to finish his career with a Parachrom.
Frankly, it was time to change it.
The bracelet, the insert, the EL, nothing was going on that "poor" submariner.
Only the 3130 is on top, and that's what they keep: WELL DONE ROLEX
