Perhaps it’s different if I saw it on your wrist. I doubt it though. Don’t view a timeless elegant design like this the same as you would with the much more contemporary designs. This design was not intended to fill your wrist. Just as when you see a Rolex Datejust that wears smaller and more elegant Than a Rolex tool watch.
Wear it with pride and love. In terms of style, I think it will outlive a lot the oversized Santos pieces.
I consider the 100XL because it is a good size for my 7,5 inch wrist. Too big and too small are also not my thing. I chose always from 39mm case size to a max of 44mm. Sometimes it is the presence of a watch to ignore the size specs on a list. A 42mm case is melting on my wrist as ideal fit conditions.
