Thanks for the wise comment Chris. Buy what you like, regardless of the "expert's" comments on anglage and perlage. Sometimes we get too caught up in the details and forget the bigger picture - do you like the watch?

I've heard many people express that same view. But the new Fine Watchmaking range is selling much better than the CPCP. Are those who mourn the demise of the CPCP the same people who were buying them, and are now sadly deprived of access to the CPCP? Perhaps yes, in a small number of cases, but on the grander scale of things, no.
The same can be said of Zenith pre-Thierry Nataf. There was so much carping about how Zenith was being ruined by Nataf. Yet the Zenith before Nataf was simply not doing well. The watches were not flying off the shelves. Yes, Zenith's classic styling is being well received now, but I am certain that is in large part due to the fact that they are a total departure from Nataf-era styling. This is hypothetical but a reasonable supposition: if Zenith had gone from pre-Nataf pedestrian styling to the current classic look, it would definitely attract a lot less attention.
