Mr Journe was really interesting to talk to. He is clearly not a marketing or management guy. He is very much a craftsman and artist who lives in, and for, the universe he has created. After meeting him, i believe he has the mind and temper of an artist. Something that really speaks a lot to me.
I feel like telling an interesting detail, when I was shown around the manufacture: All the management and administration are sitting in nice offices on the ground floor. Only the watchmakers are sitting upstairs. Mr Journes office was a small room in the watchmakers ateliers, right next to the watchmakers doing the assembly and the aftersales service. i think that says a lot about who he is.
