Great opportunity to hear insight from F.P. Journe. It is so rare to have a brand that is so pure in expressing one man's vision for what a wristwatch should be. It is made all the more special when that man has such technical mastery and the drive to innovate and push forward with new ideas.
In my humble opionion, this is the difference between a true artist and simply someone who can execute well. The true artist had the ability to create something others have not seen before.

Mr Journe was really interesting to talk to. He is clearly not a marketing or management guy. He is very much a craftsman and artist who lives in, and for, the universe he has created. After meeting him, i believe he has the mind and temper of an artist. Something that really speaks a lot to me.
I feel like telling an interesting detail, when I was shown around the manufacture: All the management and administration are sitting in nice offices on the ground floor. Only the watchmakers are sitting upstairs. Mr Journes office was a small room in the watchmakers ateliers, right next to the watchmakers doing the assembly and the aftersales service. i think that says a lot about who he is.

What a good job to get seemingly candid answers from the man himself. To have solutions chosen explained helps me always to better understand the watches. This creates interest, "objects" becoming results of the conviction and taste of a master.

Im guessing - a kind of corrosion? The moveneNts of the Line Sport are still made in Aluminium. But they had to replace aluminium with titanium for the caseS and bracelets.

This one is special in the way it is set up, where there is an individual watchmaker who is responsible for each single watch. I’m sure you will get the chance to shake hands with the guy who built your watch.

Do we have any more information on which watches were discontinued? I've heard some rumours that the CB is one - seems unlikely to me, but possible?
CB will not be discontinued for the moment. I just had that confirmation two days ago. [nt]
