In this insightful article, cfn showcases his curated collection of three Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso timepieces, each representing a distinct era in the brand's horological journey. His personal narrative offers a unique lens through which to appreciate the Reverso's evolution, from its post-Quartz crisis resurgence to its modern reinvention. This piece highlights why a focused collection can be more compelling than a broad one, especially when it tells a story of a brand's enduring legacy.

After a week with the new (to me) Reverso Chronographe Rétrograde, I finally managed to bring all three of my Reversos together.

They each represent a phase in the life of La Grande Maison.

The Chronographe is from the time where they fought to re-learn haute-horlogerie after the Quartz crisis. Fascinating story.

The Grande GMT is from what I think if as the strongest period of the Reverso where they launched this model, the Sun/Moon and a number of other models.

Finally, we have the Tribute to 1931 where JLC aimed at reinventing the Reverso line to give it new life. In addition, this is a boutique edition tied to the opening of the JLC Boutique on Madison Avenue.

Together, they form a perfect trio (in my eyes) and given that they are a team, they are all wearing suede straps.

The 1931 is gorgeous and the Chronograph is amazing, but my heart is still with those big 8-day Reversos. Here's a shot of my (departed) Sun-Moon.

But that Grande GMT was an amazing watch. So glad to see this collection; we see people showing their multi Patek collections - this is not uncommon. But to see a multi-JLC collection, that's rare! Especially a lovely REVERSO collection such as this! Exquisite!
