Salmon dial is an acquired taste. In this case, my love for it is fully justified.

Salmon dial is an acquired taste. I happen to LOVE it. I was lucky enough to have bumped into 2 outstanding samples of the Royal Oak with salmon dial. I did not get to keep the first one for long, which was a huge regret. Now with this 2nd piece of salmon dial that comes to my life, it sort of helps to allay my regret.

WG case shines very differently from SS. That salmon dial makes my heart beats faster!

It was GREAT to find this watch in an old AP catalogue which I collected when I could only dream of owning an AP. How sweet!

Almost a quarter of a kilogram!
Almost a quarter of a kilogram! The heft of WG always reminds me of its existence.

I am lucky that the AP logo is up-right when the crown is tightened. Do you see the thickness of the bracelet tapers gradually?
I am lucky that the AP logo is up-right when the crown is tightened. A should-have feature for watches at this price point IMO...

Do you notice that the thickness of the bracelet tapers gradually from the case-end to the clasp-end? This is the only bracelet that I've seen with such gradual taper in thickness. I really like these details. It makes the watch wear rather comfortably too!

Despite its shear weight of almost 230g, the watch is surprisingly comfortable on the wrist.

This is how my WG ROC with salmon dial looks like in a sunny outdoor. It has RESERVED a permanent place in my collection.

It is a stunning watch! Is it from the actual collection? I always loved salmon dials, the first one I have ever seen in my life was a Daniel Roth chronograph.. Wear it in good health! Yours, Adam

That watch looks outstanding on your wrist. It has much more personality than the typical white dialed version. I almost bought a Breguet XX one time a number of years ago that had a salmon dial but didn't as I wasn't sure I could pull it off. You photos certainly will make me revisit adding a salmon dial watch one day! Wear it well! Tony
