Amanico's insightful post draws a compelling parallel between Jaeger-LeCoultre's historic 1904 minute repeater and the modern Duomètre line. By showcasing the shared 'dual-wing' architecture, amanico illuminates the brand's enduring commitment to precision and innovation across more than a century of watchmaking. This exploration highlights how foundational horological principles continue to inspire contemporary complications.

The ancestor of the Duometre is here,

With its two barrels and their dedicated gear trains...

Here we are in year 1904.

103 years later, the Duometre à Chronographe, with the same two barrels and their gear trains, which make the specificity of ALL the Duometre movements.

Cal 380: Chronograph:

Cal 381: Quantième Lunaire:

Cal 382: Spherotourbillon:

Cal 383: Unique Travel Time:

With Jaeger Lecoultre, it often is " History in Motion ".

Best,

Nicolas

Yes, this pocket watch belongs to the Heritage Gallery. The funny story is that I had a huge program on two days, there, and that I spent one full day studying pocket watches, which was not planned.

Since then, we don't program my visits anymore. Best, Nicolas

Thanks Nicolas.

Any picture of the Minute Repeater dial? You've possibly posted it in the past...

As you can see, it is not only a minute repeater, but also a perpetual calendar. Not bad looking at all.
