Earlier today we had another little Purists GTG in New York City.  Thanks again to Mike for leading the charge and pulling everything together.  While last time around we did have a few Purists who made the trip all the way from the West Coast (and again today) I think special mention should go to our visitors from Argentina and Japan.

Again the lighting left a lot to be desired so please excuse the poor photography of what were some fantastic watches.

Coming in hot, some enamel (with a custom power reserve I believe) from Czapek.  I've seen a few Czapek's previously but this was by far the most impressive.  What this picture doesn't capture is the case design, and the brushed and polished finish which makes for a great overall look.

And just for balance another variation on an enamel dial.  This time Seiko's Shippo Enamel.

Vintage anyone?  A superb Omega Chronmetre which is old enough to be my father, perhaps my grandfather!

Another piece of vintage Omega, this time not quite as old. Flightmaster, a personal favourite of mine.

There was a table, and we did manage some table shots.  Someone, you know who you are, was smart enough to use the light on their phone which helped the situation immensely.

Some Lange goodness, more later, and one of the best modern Grand Seikos.

Cough, cough, just sitting there minding its own business a vintage Rolex heavyweight.  Ref 5508 from 1958 I believe.  A real marvel.

5645, 6155 Special and 6156 Special vintage Grand Seiko, and out of focus just a Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon.

GP, JLC, PP, Rolex, vintage Omega, Gallet.  Everybody and everything is welcome, the beauty of watch collecting is in the diversity on this table.
There is something for everyone, and more importantly there is a price point for everyone.

Lange was well represented.  Not surprisingly.  Two oldies in this shot, the OG Datograph on a super cool and casual canvas strap and (another favourite of
 mine) the Emil Lange Moonphase.

A wrist shot of the Emil Lange.  Perfect in many ways.

Vintage Gallet Chronograph.

That's all from me.  There were many other cameras there so hopefully we'll some more shots.

Thanks again to Mike for organizing and to everyone who made the effort to come out.

About the A. Lange and Söhne Emil Lange Ref. 1815

The A. Lange & Söhne 1815 reference 206.032, introduced in 1999, is a notable example of the brand's commitment to traditional watchmaking principles. This model is part of the 1815 collection, which pays homage to the birth year of Ferdinand Adolph Lange and emphasizes classic design elements such as Arabic numerals and blued hands, drawing inspiration from historical Lange pocket watches. It represents a more understated and purist aesthetic compared to some of the brand's more complex offerings, focusing on fundamental horological excellence.

This particular reference features an 18k rose gold case measuring 36mm in diameter and 7.5mm in thickness. It houses the manually wound L941.1 caliber, visible through a sapphire crystal case back. The movement provides a power reserve of 45 hours. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal on the front, protecting a solid silver dial. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters, suitable for everyday wear but not for immersion.

The 1815 206.032 appeals to collectors who appreciate classical proportions and a focus on fundamental watchmaking without excessive complications. Its smaller case size reflects a more traditional approach to men's wristwatches, making it a desirable piece for those seeking a discreet yet highly refined timepiece. The combination of rose gold and a silver dial offers a warm and legible presentation, consistent with the collection's historical inspirations.

Yes, it looks right on the wrist. Time will tell, although I feel the ship has sailed already. [nt]

It was great seeing you all!

So nice to be able to match the face and screen name. Let's do it again (hope I can come on good timing) or in Japan. Ken
