One of the most impressive rectangular watches I've had the good fortune of strapping on my wrist, this Gondolo is as much imposing as it is impressive. From the lovely Art Deco design inspirations and with an impressive ten days of power reserve driven by twin mainsprings and incorporating a tourbillon, this watch looks and means business. At around 51mm in length, it wears like a 44mm Portugieser and with that lovely triple stepped case design, it's by no means thin. However, you're likely to overlook all that because of that lovely dial design. I've tried to capture some sense of the brilliant blue that you see at certain angles but nothing beats seeing it in the metal. This model was introduced in 2011 and it is estimated that around 100 examples exist; it is rarer than the platinum version with salmon dial.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful rare bird. It’s the first time for me to see this combo, while the platinum salmon dial one is often encountered in auctions.

Cheers, Henry
