Joenghenry's acquisition of the Patek Philippe Aquanaut Ref. 5168G-010 offers a timely exploration into the allure of green dials and the evolving identity of Patek Philippe's sport watches. His personal reflections on its wearability and aesthetic connection to other luxury items provide a unique lens through which to appreciate this reference. This article delves into the community's reception and the historical context that makes this particular Aquanaut a compelling topic for collectors.

The Patek Philippe reference 5711/1A-011, part of the Complications collection, is distinguished by its white dial, offering a different aesthetic compared to other dial variations within the 5711 series. This particular configuration provides a clean and legible presentation, appealing to collectors who prefer a more understated yet refined look. It represents a specific iteration of a well-known Patek Philippe model, recognized for its integrated design.
The watch features a 40mm stainless steel case, housing the self-winding Caliber 26-330 SC movement. This movement provides a power reserve of 45 hours. The case is fitted with a sapphire crystal, contributing to its water resistance of 120 meters. The fixed bezel and integrated bracelet are characteristic elements of its construction.
This reference appeals to collectors interested in the evolution of Patek Philippe's offerings, particularly those seeking specific dial colors within established model lines. Its production run from 2019 to 2021 marks it as a relatively recent, yet now discontinued, variant. The watch's specifications align with Patek Philippe's standards for mechanical timepieces.
Pretty photos perfectly highlighting the assets that make this piece desirable, especially its colour. Happy wearing.
there is nothing about this watch being accessible.. it costs an arm and a leg too!
This 42mm green π looks great on your wrist as it fits well. As usual I am green with envy π
Congrats, looks perfect on you.
This is a military watch with grand-standing style! π
I am totally underwhelmed with this PP offer. Neither the front and its military green dial nor the caliber come imo close to the MB. So at this price point (PP being roughly 40% more than the green Villeret piece and steel vs gold not being that kind of a deal) it just shows how relatively good these MB Villeret offerings are. Personally I would let this one happily go when being offered and take any of your other pieces that you have in your collection
