High jewelry pieces have never really appealed to me, rare handcrafts always intrigued me more as art.

Until 2024

When I saw this 5268/461 in pics it immediately drew my attention.

I’ll confess that blue has always been my favorite color and so a sapphire piece always attracted me. I’ve always had a soft spot for the
sapphire set nautilus 5711, but it never pulled me in like this aquanaut on rubber strap.

In different lighting and angles it changes, and presents itself in varying ways.

I can already hear the opinions that dislike these types of pieces for men. I understand them because I used to agree with them and generally still do. But not for this one.
At 38.8 this watch is definitely  not small, in fact, my preference is usually 36mm to 39mm for my wrist, so here the case size is perfect.

Whether or not someone would enjoy wearing it, the beauty of this watch as an objet d’ art is undeniable in my opinion.

Whether for or against im interested in hearing your opinion.
I think it’s absolutely jaw dropping. Ofc pictures don’t do it justice.

All the best

It looks a little silly on me...

I've got an acquaintance - one I'm close enough where I don't mind if he says bad jokes in different languages and I'm not offended. This acquaintance is a big entertainment industry star and producer in Los Angeles. A recognizable man. With a recognizable name. He wears a beautiful jeweled watch and it looks perfectly appropriate on him. He also has a driver everywhere he goes. I borrowed a diamond studded watch from a very high end watch brand and the watch was of great quality. But it just di

I'm almost always in the camp of understated elegance, and classy, and not an admirer of bling...

so while I may respect the guy that made it, I don't really admire the guy that wears it.
