In both cases, I was very excited when they were released but a bit put off when I saw them in the real at the respective Patek novelties trunk show. As for 5320G, it was actually the dial color that irritated me but now I’m starting to really like it. The big plus of this PC certainly is its clean and legible dial. Its dimensions are almost perfect too, IMO. In the case of 5930G, it was the thickness of the case (due to the chrono function) that I disliked. I like the dial very much as well as its diameter. A more sporty WT for sure. I appreciate that Patek wanted to show their technical skills by combining a WT with a chrono but I could certainly live without the chrono. πŸ˜‰ Nevertheless, it’s still a very attractive offering from Patek. What do you think about these two references? Best, V.

About the Patek Philippe Patek Philippe 5930G-010 Ref. 5930

The Patek Philippe Reference 5930 combines two of the manufacture's highly regarded complications: the World Time and the Chronograph. This reference represents a modern interpretation of a complex horological tradition, integrating a flyback chronograph function with a display of 24 time zones. It is notable for its compact dimensions relative to its complication set, offering a balanced presence on the wrist.

The watch features a white gold case measuring 39.5mm in diameter, housing the self-winding Caliber CH 28-520 HU. This integrated movement provides a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, and the watch is water-resistant to 30 meters. The case design incorporates classic Patek Philippe elements, with polished and satin-finished surfaces.

Appealing to collectors who appreciate technical complexity and travel-oriented functions, the 5930 builds upon Patek Philippe's history of world time watches, tracing its lineage to earlier models. The integration of the chronograph adds a layer of functionality and horological interest. The reference is offered with a blue dial and is fitted with a leather strap, presenting a cohesive and refined aesthetic.

5320 because it is so well designed ! The WT chrono with a 30 minutes counter is not functional to me. Would love to see the 5320 in the metal.

I think we have similar feelings about these two timepieces.

I very much like the 5320G. I love the legibility and the syringe hands. I may take a trip to my AD and try it on. It would be very tempting. Nothing beats your enameled World time. Happy Friday and HAGWE C.

My choice would be the PC for its case design, lovely dial color and historic significance. Are you about to buy one of them? Really great to have them in a collection. Congratulations for beeing in the position to get one! Edit: i only tried the pc, so this might be subjective...

I’m also considering something completely different: 5088P. In any event, I will not rush into a decision given that I just collected 5231J. HAGWE too, Constantine.
