Patek Philippe Aquanaut Reference 5167
The Reference 5167 represents the 40mm stainless steel iteration within Patek Philippe's Aquanaut model line. Introduced in 2007 and remaining in current production, this reference features a black dial and establishes the standard sizing for the steel Aquanaut offering.
The 40mm stainless steel case houses the automatic Caliber 324 S C movement, providing 45 hours of power reserve. The watch incorporates a sapphire crystal and smooth bezel configuration. Water resistance extends to 120 meters, while the distinctive composite rubber strap displays an embossed check pattern that complements the case design.
This reference appeals to collectors seeking contemporary Patek Philippe sports watch execution in stainless steel. The 5167 offers entry into the Aquanaut model range while maintaining the manufacturing standards associated with the Geneva manufacture. Its ongoing production status ensures availability through authorized channels for both new collectors and those expanding existing collections.
And well, with an additional soul...
is much more comfortable than the Nautilus bracelet due to its rounded links. When Theirry put the 5905 onto that bracelet, creting the 5905/1A, I knew it was a great move. (Now if he would only expande the 5905/1A's dials and add blue and black!). If you offered ME an Aquanaut, I would take the /1A and order a rubber strap and deployment buckle from RubberB and be able to switch them, depending on the mood. (I never liked the "grenade" strap.) -Dean
I'm with you in loving the Aquanaut... but I think it's at its best on the rubber strap, and that it looks a little more generic on bracelet! So how about I take the watch and you keep the bracelet???
Happy for you that you like the bracelet and have it. Cheers. ๐ป Geross.
I do not have any Patek Philippe but I very much desire the Aquanaut. Its a bit more sporty than the Nautilus. Just so extremely expensive and hard to get my hands on.
My brother liked the looks ๐ with rubber strap and bracelet. He bought the bracelet version and purchased the rubber strap separately so that he could have both. Reason was that if he bought rubber strap, bracelet could not be purchased separately from AD/Patek.
